A resident of Northern Ireland was reportedly outraged when he found that Scrabble 2007 for the DS contained the word 'lesbo'. Ultimately this was brought to the attention of Ubisoft who apologized to the man but stated that 'lesbo' is not a term considered offensive by the official dictionary. However the inclusion was slammed by a Northern Ireland Gay Rights Association spokesman who stated he is not surprised that the term 'lesbo' was used because young games designers are not taught that these terms can result in homophic bullying.
